And as a Universal Institute of Legal Studies has modeled its 'Classroom' Programme on the principle that strong roots result in better trees and sweet fruits. Accordingly, UILS 'Classroom' programme is specifically targeted at students of class XI and XII aiming to join one of the following premier law schools of the country after class XII:

The entrance tests of top Law Schools attract thousands of candidates and as such, competition is tough. From 2008 onwards, a Common Law Admission Test (CLAT) Test has been introduced for all major National Law Schools like NLSIU Bangalore, NALSAR Hyderabad , NUJS Kolkata and other National Law Schools . However there shall be separate entrance exams for Symbiosis Pune, IP University Delhi and other Institutes and Universities offering 5 years LL.B. courses. UILS has designed a specific comprehensive postal as well as classroom course keeping in view the changed scenario.

It has been observed that Law as a career attracts students of all streams (Sciences, Commerce, Humanities & others), therefore, making it obvious that LL.B. education academically has got nothing to do with the choice of subjects in Class XII. Thus, UILS has come up with a unique package to meet the ever growing intellectual needs of law entrance applicants.

  •  UILS - Classroom

In addition to all the features of UILS - Postal, UILS - Classroom programme consists of tutorials by experienced faculty and alumni.

The Classroom Programme consists of more than 80 hours of intensive revisionary and doubt clearing classroom session in April 2010 just before the Entrance Exams.

Entrance Examinations for the 5 year LL.B. course have their own particular requirements. Besides, all the entrance exams do not call for the same kind of preparation. This factor is constantly considered in the classroom session.

Individual students are paid attention to and their performance and participation in the classroom is constantly monitored. Their particular problems are also considered and solved.

•  UILS - Mock Tests

A series of Mock Tests are provided on the pattern of Common Law Admission Test of National Law Schools, IP University and others to gauge personal preparation of individual students.

The Mock Tests are undertaken on replicated Optimal Mark Recognition (OMR) papers by students opting for Classroom Coaching. These Mock Tests provide a real feel of the exam environment and an element of healthy competition among the students. The faculty undertakes constructive analysis of the students' performance in these tests to identify the areas which need further focus.

THE EXTRAS

Additionally, to all the candidates enrolled with the UILS, materials dwelling upon the burning legal issues of the day and the crucial judgments pronounced by the law courts are dispatched at regular intervals to keep them updated about the goings-on in the legal world. Besides, a copy of the monthly legal magazine published by the Universal Group, Lawyers Update, is also supplied in order to help the students keep themselves informed about the current legal issues and other things that concern a lawyer and legal fraternity at large. For the same reason Newsline , which is a small leaflet covering current affairs, legal news and legal facts and figures, is also supplied to the students at short intervals in addition to Lawyers Update. Newsline has been designed by the UILS as a current affairs chronicle specifically for its students. Students of the UILS have the liberty to approach the institution for any queries or clarification that they might need through phone as well as through e-mail. All queries are responded to forthwith.

Trial Mock Examination is accessible to all on the UILS website while the online Mock Examinations based on entrance tests conducted by top law schools can be taken by the registered UILS Students.

Personalized Career Counseling is also given at the UILS so that the students are properly guided by the experts in the field according to the avenues open, the temperament of the student and his or her own individual preferences.
