Universal Institute of Legal Studies , an integral part of the UNIVERSAL Group, which has been in the service of legal profession for over 50 years, in its endeavour to fulfil all the pre LL.B. and post LL.B. educational needs of the law students and lawyers, carries forward its tradition of imparting quality study material for Judicial Service Examination aspirants.
As the Judicial Service Examination calls for a comprehensive understanding of law and legal principles, the entire course is conceptualized by UILS Team with expert assistance from present and retired Judicial Officers, senior law professors, lawyers and even examinees of Judicial Service Examinations from different States.
The Institute provides study material on all the core areas of law notified for the Judicial Service Examination with additional booklets on English, General Knowledge and Current Affairs.
The study material will be followed by a series of MOCK Tests. The full scale Mock Tests are designed to simulate actual examination experience. The Mock Tests will be undertaken on replicated Optimal Mark Recognition (OMR) papers by students. The performance of the students is subjected to critical analysis and feedback given to the students on areas of improvement and general level of preparedness.
The popularity of the course can be judged in the light of the fact that not only Judicial Service aspirants but even practising lawyers undertake the study material just to refresh their legal knowledge.
A comprehensive study material package of 20 Books will be given to aspirants to provide indepth coverage of various concepts based on past years pattern and a vision for the coming year. The effort is to provide balanced coverage to all sections and there is no lopsided coaching.

Additionally, to all the candidates enrolled with the UILS, materials dwelling upon the burning legal issues of the day and the crucial judgments pronounced by the law courts are dispatched at regular intervals to keep them updated about the goings-on in the legal world. Besides, a copy of the monthly legal magazine published by the Universal Group, Lawyers Update, is also supplied in order to help the students keep themselves informed about the current legal issues and other things that concern a lawyer and legal fraternity at large. For the same reason Newsline , which is a small leaflet covering current affairs, legal news and legal facts and figures, is also supplied to the students at short intervals in addition to Lawyers Update. Newsline has been designed by the UILS as a current affairs chronicle specifically for its students. Students of the UILS have the liberty to approach the institution for any queries or clarification that they might need through phone as well as through e-mail.
